Start with responsibility

With level-two driver assistance, a system may control steering and speed together, while the driver remains responsible for attentive driving.

Operating limits matter

Higher automation can operate within specified conditions or service areas. A product name or impressive video does not explain its operating limits.

Read the task, not the promise

Ask who monitors the road, when a person must take over, and where the system may operate. Consult the vehicle’s instructions and relevant local authorities.
