Go to the original source

Look for the paper or original document behind the headline. A press report, a published study and a personal comment are not interchangeable. If there is no source, keep the question open rather than accepting the conclusion.

Who, how, and compared with what?

Notice who or what was studied, how the data were gathered and what the comparison was. For AI news, ask whether the result comes from selected examples or an independent evaluation. One score does not describe every use case.

What remains unknown?

Look for limitations, funding and the authors’ own description of next steps. Careful reading distinguishes observation, interpretation and marketing. Take a moment before pressing share.
